“Initially when I first met with Theresa it was to help me work through the challenges of senior management in my role as European Director. One of the first things Theresa said to me was that she looks at us all holistically and she was definitely not kidding! Through my journey, Theresa has helped me look at myself through eyes I never realised I could, I have learned to believe in myself and love myself for the first time, she has taken a woman who was so clogged up with anxiety, so fearful of making mistakes and being judged and helped me become more at peace with who I am and what my values are. Theresa has an arsenal of tools she has pulled on to assist me, breathing exercises that help me become calmer, which I still practice and benefit from today, but my favourite work with Theresa is her meditation and healing, she has helped me release all the weight I’ve held onto, all the daily impacts fogging my mind and weighing me down. Working with Theresa has given me the tools to move these things on and live in the moment, lighter, happier and I can definitely say I smile a lot more now than I ever did. The experience is powerful yet very peaceful and at some points I have felt complete euphoria.

“The restriction of being at home 24/7 with my family was a shock, not the joy I so desperately wanted it to be. The sense of anger and frustration in the house was high and manifested itself in rows; in angry exchanges; in unhappiness and a sense that relationships were truly broken and were not standing up to the test they were now facing. Surely this meant that a split was an inevitable outcome as the fulfilment and joy appeared lost and could no longer be ignored. Through HeartSpace I learnt to sit with this; to not make a rash decision; to just be. Through the weekly meditations I relaxed and slowly realised just how much of the anger and resentment came from me and just maybe that was creating the tension I blamed others for. What a change of perspective that realisation led to. It led me to be able to throw away my anger and negative energy and I haven’t looked back. “Since joining Heart Space, Theresa has taught me to become a much calmer and more aware person of how I talk with other people on a daily basis. Especially when listening to others. Now I always tend to pause for a moment and then respond from my inner self rather than my mind. We are all in a world of `too` much on our plate, striving for the better, trying to get everything done as `should` be in the so named rule book of life and doings. “Being in the HeartSpace group has given me a few hours a week just for myself. In between work and the daily life routines this is something I look forward to every week. It has shown me that I am not alone in how I feel, what I like and what I struggle with. I feel heard, supported and as part of a very special group.
